Steeda 2012-13 Boss Cold Air Intake
The Boss 302 Mustang is an amazing machine from the factory and you can take its performance a step further with a simple bolt on from Steeda. This new cold air kit is specifically designed by the engineers at Steeda for the 2012-13 Boss 302 Mustang. With the proper tune, you can expect to pick up close to 30 horsepower and 20 ft/lb of torque. This is a difference you will feel as soon as you hit the throttle.
Designing the new intake. Steeda's engineers started with a large surface area high-flow nano-fiber air filter, added their famous ârace-testedâ velocity stack entry and then designed a stainless steel heat shield with a durable rubber gasket to seal the shield against the vehicleâs hood. Next they increased the MAF housing size to 101mm and coupled it to a new higher flowing Pro-Flow inlet hose with their Cool-Tube Technology. The finished product was an intake the looks as good as it performs.
Steed Cold Air Advantage. This intake utilizes the factory cold air feed ducting from the front bumper. This allows for the densest air possible. The stainless steel heat shield seals itself to the hood to eliminate unwanted, hot air from entering the intake tract. These two key design elements are crucial to the proper functioning of an aftermarket cold air intake for your Mustang. A new tune is highly recommended when installing this aftermarket intake. Add the SCT tuner from the drop down menu for a custom tailored tune based on your Boss 302 Mustang's current modifications.
