Steeda Cold Air Kit for 10-12 Shelby GT500
Gain horsepower and torque with this straightforward and easy upgrade. Lifetime filter can be cleaned and re-oiled, but the big news here is that Steeda has streamlined the airflow in the GT 500 Mustang to the point that a computer re-flash isn't just an option, it's required! Add the SCT X3 Calibrator with 3 custom tunes to take advantage of your new intake. Purchasing a custom tuner will allow you to unlock the most power from this part while keeping your engine safe.
The stock GT500 air intake set up provides an adequate amount of airflow to your engine. Steeda takes it a step further with their new ProFlow Cold Air Intake for the 2010-12 GT500. Designed, tested, and assembled all in-house. This kit completely replaces the factory intake assembly. This kit is specifically designed to utilize the factory cold air feed from the grille and incorporates a serviceable high flow air filter, an injection molded velocity stack, black powdercoated heat shield, and our high flow ProFlow intake tube. The Steeda Lifetime Filter can easily be cleaned and re-oiled, making maintenance a snap. All stainless steel hardware required for installation is included in the kit.
The large 114mm mass air flow pipe offers a substantial increase in air flow at all engine RPMs. The heat shield seals to the hood liner and also keeps the factory cold air feed and keeps out all hot engine air which is detrimental to performance. Steeda saw peak to peak torque gains of 32 ft/lbs. of torque with max gains of 39 ft/lbs of torque!
